Year 11 went to Poetry Live this week, where they got to hear from the poets they study. John Agard sparked the biggest cheer with his advice to 'read more poetry' and 'use the library' ... a message the English team loved!

Maye, a very talented yr13 artist, was invited to Hackney Gallery & had her work showcased to honour black history thro Carnival. Her artwork shows a young girl standing proud in and of her heritage. Maye's work was professionally framed and as you see, it deserves the accolades!

Enterprise Day winners visited the Museum of Brands, engaging in Innocent Drinks’ new digital Smoothie Lab, and pitched their own product “A Punch of Pink.” They later explored Portobello Market, where they applied negotiation skills, & secured a Cadbury World visit in December.

Thank you to all the staff and students who wore mismatched or quirky socks to mark Anti-Bullying Week. This year we focused on being a and realising that EVERYONE has a role to play in calling out bullying when we see it. EVERYONE needs to feel safe and included.

We enjoyed hosting the debate club! They brought their A-game & demonstrated excellent debating skills & techniques. Their consistent application of formal debating rules & style was very useful for our new members. We look forward to future collaborations this year!

Our Hustings Fair was full of oratory, persuasion and discussion, as each House presented their manifestos to their peers, in preparation for tomorrow's election. Which House will.lead our school parliament this year?! Huge thanks to Ms Visscher and her team, who ran this event.
